Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in local Secondary schools in and around Sheffield.

About the role

The desired Cover Supervisor will be working with students with a wide range of ability levels. Class sizes can vary depending upon schools and subjects, the required Cover Supervisor would need to be adaptable and knowledgeable of secondary schools and the expectations of a cover supervisor. The role of a Cover Supervisor within a school is to teach and support learning whilst managing behaviour in the classroom in the absence of the Subject Teacher.
A Cover Supervisor would be utilised in all aspects of the school to cover across a multitude of subjects.

This role would be suitable for candidates who are Degree level, have experience working in education, or wanting to gain experience in secondary education.

About the school

We currently work with a number of schools in and around Sheffield supporting their day to day and short-term cover needs and requirements. They expect a high level of professionalism and a good education from their Cover staff. Experience in this field is not essential, however a strong interest in education is.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Have experience supporting Secondary ­­­­­­­­­­Aged Children.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of cover staff.
  • Recent (within 2 years) relevant referenceable experience working with children.
  • Have a passion for education and an interest in taking a teaching or support route.
