Are you considering a career in teaching? We are looking for Cover Supervisors to provide cover for absent teaching staff at schools across the Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield areas. To start as soon as possible, full or part-time.

About the role

Are you considering a career in teaching and looking for experience in a school setting? Cover Supervisors are suitably trained school staff who supervise pupils carrying our pre-prepared classes when teaching staff are on short-term absence. The Cover Supervisor's main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.

The role would be perfect for anyone looking to gain experience before applying for a teaching qualification.

You will be confident and enthusiastic, with the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of young people and fellow colleagues.

About the school

Over 10 years we have built long-standing relationships with secondary schools across the Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield areas. All our schools provide a supportive environment for our supply staff.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will:
  • Have experience working with young people
  • Have a high level of literacy and numeracy
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of educational professionals

Salary

£80 to £80 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • recent experience working with young people.
