Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in local secondary schools across the Stockton-on-Tees and surrounding areas for a start in September 2022

About the role

The Cover Supervisor role may include the following responsibilities:

  • Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures
  • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures
  • Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Cover Supervior you will:
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of educational professionals
  • Have a passion for working with young people
  • Hold a degree or relevant qualification in Support Work in Schools, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or Cover Supervision in Schools

Salary

£350 to £400 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • recent relevant experience and ideally a degree.
