We are looking to appoint a Computer Science Teacher on behalf of a secondary school based in Crawley. The Computer Science Teacher position is due to start in September 2022, full time on a fixed 1 year contract.

About the role

The desired Computer Science Teacher will be able to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 and A Level Computer Science teaching will be available for a suitable candidate. The school are looking for a Computer Science Teacher who can motivate and engage students, a teacher who will be passionate and have the perseverance to make a different to the student’s and their future.

The secondary school is a diverse, high achieving and oversubscribed mixed school with 1500 students in Year 7 – 11. They are a school where academic achievement, and the wellbeing of the students is at the heart of what they do. Computer Science is taught to all students at Key Stage 3 and then offered as an option at Key Stage 4 and 5.

Their recent OFSTED report described the school as; warm and welcoming, team of passionate staff, strong staff morale, clear programme of teacher coaching and professional development with excellend developmental and CPD opportunities for all staff.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Computer Science Teacher you will:
  • Have recent experience teaching students aged 11-16
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of teaching and support staff
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
  • Hold QTS
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Qualified Teacher Status
