About the role

Are you looking for a new and highly rewarding role?
Vision for Education are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and work in local schools in Trafford supporting a designated cared for child.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required to:
- Provide support to a designated Cared for Child within the classroom and on a 1:1 basis.
- Liaise with the class teacher and the school regarding the child’s progression and effectiveness of tailored intervention work.
- Proactively support the child not only within education but in building positive relationships and being a role model figure.
About the school
- The role can involve you being based across mainstream primary and secondary schools or alternative provisions.
- The usual school day will begin at 08:30 and finish at 15:30 unless agreed otherwise.
- The schools we work with are built of committed teams of staff that will support you in ensuring the best possible opportunities are given to each student.
- You may also need to liaise with the local authority and school regarding the student’s progress.
- There are opportunities for the role to become permanent with the school after a qualifying period.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Cared for Children Teaching Assistant you will:
- Have knowledge or experience of working with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Have a genuine desire to want to support and nurture young people
- Be available to start in September 2022
- Be able to work in the Trafford area

Salary
£350 to £400 per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Relevant experience of working with children and young people
