About the role

Role: Candidate Consultant

Location: Kestrel House, Knightrider St

Hours - Full-Time:

  • 8.30am – 5pm x4 per week
  • 8:30am - 4:30pm on Fridays
  • Reduced hours (9am - 3pm) in school summer holidays
  • Work from home Wednesday's

Package: £23,000 - £28,000 minimum within first year (combination of base salary and commission)

Contract Length: MAT Cover: 9-12 months

Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Candidate Consultant to join our Education team in Kent where you will be working with schools and educators. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the market leaders in education recruitment in the county, recruiting high-quality teaching and support staff for short, long-term placements and permanent roles.

No prior experience in recruitment, sales or education is required - you will be supported in your first year of recruitment with our industry leading induction programme and experienced colleagues. The role:

Vision for Education can offer an unrivalled service to both schools and teachers.

You will provide a vital link between clients and candidates. The role is demanding and diverse and involves:

  • Using social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships with candidates, employers, and the teaching community.
  • Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work.
  • Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews, and creating a shortlist of candidates for the client.
  • Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the client.
  • Briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary, and benefits of the job.
  • Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants.
  • Using our Salesforce system to manage bookings.
  • Provide exceptional, consistent customer service to client schools and candidates; being prepared to go above and beyond.
  • Proactively source new candidates by placing adverts on a range of job boards, contacting university providers and arranging open days.
  • Proactively chasing references.
  • Develop sound knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and candidate skill set to ensure successful matches/placements are created.
  • Receive and effectively manage job applications, pre-screen candidates, conduct face to face interviews, CV writing and actively source suitable positions for individual candidates that match their needs.
  • Fully understand and be compliant in practising the highest levels of safeguarding when it comes to our candidates.
