Behaviour Support Assistant required for a mixed SEMH secondary school based in Littlehampton due to start in September 2022, full time on a temp - perm basis for the right candidate.
About the role
We are looking to recruit an experienced, passionate and highly motivated Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a mixed secondary school for students with social, emotional and behaviour difficulties. The Behaviour Support Assistant role is due to start in September 2022 full time on a temp – perm basis for the right candidate.
The Behaviour Support Assistant will be required to support a range of students in the classroom and on one-to-one basis depending on the need of the students at the time.
About the school
The specialist school cater to students aged between 9 and 16 who have social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties where all students follow the National Curriculum, working towards Entry Level Certificate or GCSE at the end of year 11. Students work in small groups of 8, often with a teaching assistant as well as the subject teacher.
The school recognises that each student is an individual, with individual needs so students have an Individual Education Plan and a Behaviour Programme designed to help them target particular behaviours. They aim to provide students with a supportive learning environment in which they can grow into responsible young people and believe that a strong partnership between school and home is essential to their education.
