About the role


About the Role

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school environment, providing targeted support to children with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable pupils.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, complex learning difficulties, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Assist with behaviour management strategies and classroom engagement

  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support, adapting to individual student needs

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of one year’s experience working in an educational or childcare setting

  • Strong communication, empathy and active listening skills

  • A flexible, resilient and proactive approach

  • Effective behaviour management strategies

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
