Our Special Schools in Bristol is seeking long-term and full-time support staff and teaching assistants to join their team.

About the role
As an Autism Support Worker you will work alongside the Class Teacher to assist with delivering lessons and supporting children to learn through play to help them expand on their communication and sensory skills. The aim of your role is to support the development of pupils’ spoken language as well as reading and writing. You will be working in a classroom setting and supporting the pupils academically as well as assisting with their daily routine.
About the school
The environment in which you will be working is in a special school located in Bristol. The school caters for children with autism and learning disabilities. You will be required to support the pupils academically with their learning either on a 1:1 basis or within a small class and throughout their daily routine at school. Each child has a care, health and education plan in place to support with their daily routine and activities planned at school which are differentiated to suit each child.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Autism Support Worker you will:
- Be available full-time, Monday to Friday 08:30-15:30pm.
- Have, or be willing to obtain a DBS on the update service.
- Be passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs.

Salary
£1,400 to £1,800 per day
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Have a minimum of 6 months experience supporting young people with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
