Vision for Education are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and engaging Autism Support Workers to work in a special school within the North Tyneside Local Authority.

About the role

The successful candidates will assist the classroom teacher in the daily delivery of the curriculum., and ensuring all students are supported both academically and emotionally. An Autism Support Worker will support students in the class with a diagnosis of Autism, promoting Speech and Language and promoting Positive Behaviour Strategies.

We provide teachers to schools across Durham, North and South Tyneside, Northumberland, Sunderland, Newcastle and Gateshead.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Autism Support Worker you will:
  • Have experience working with SEND.
  • Have experience dealing with challenging behaviours.
  • Have a passion to support individuals with additional needs.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of teaching and support staff.

Salary

£350 to £400 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Relevant experience.
