About the role

Vision for Education are working with a vibrant mainstream school in the heart of Rochester to recruit an Attendance and Administration Officer.

This school is motivated by the growth and development of their pupils and believe that each child has the potential to greatness, with the right support and guidance. Each pupil is encouraged to develop their independence, whilst becoming a good-mannered citizen.

As Attendance and Administration Officer, you will be the initial point of contact for all staff, pupils, parents and external visitors. To be a successful candidate, you will be required to have great communication skills whether this be on the phone, written, face-to-face, on the school social media platforms. You will need to evidence previous experience within a similar role, within a school setting.

A successful Attendance and Administration Officer will have resilience and forward-thinking skills to establish strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and external stakeholders.

Your duties will include:

  • Analyse and evaluate data and information and run reports.
  • Ensure visitor checks and health and safety processes are in place to monitor entry in and out of the building.
  • Efficiently file all paperwork including completed and approved staff order request forms / purchase orders / purchase receipts and order confirmations.
  • Continuously liaising with parents and carers, regarding their children.

A successful candidate will:

  • Have a good standard of English, maths and IT skills.
  • A positive approach, with excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data protection regulations.
