ALN Teaching Assistant – Newport (Monday–Friday | 8:30–15:30)

You will receive an excellent rate of pay of £444.60 to £509.60 per week, with both day-to-day supply and full-time roles available. Full-time positions run Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, giving you your evenings and weekends free for a healthy work–life balance.

We are currently recruiting a dedicated ALN Teaching Assistant to join a caring and supportive specialist school in Newport, supporting pupils aged 3–16 with a range of additional learning needs and developmental conditions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is compassionate, patient, and eager to help young people thrive in a structured, nurturing environment.

The school works in partnership with Vision for Education to recruit skilled and passionate education professionals. As an ALN Teaching Assistant in Newport, you will support pupils with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, learning disabilities, anxiety, and other complex educational and behavioural needs.

Previous experience in SEN / ALN, education, care, or support work is beneficial but not essential, as full training is provided. The most important qualities are patience, resilience, reliability, and a genuine desire to support children with additional needs. Your role will involve supporting communication, sensory regulation, behaviour, and personal care, while promoting independence and confidence.
