Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged pupil with additional needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning and/or behavioural needs
  • Assist in the delivery of personalised learning activities in line with the pupil’s individual education plan (IEP)
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and academic development
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals
  • Monitor and record progress, providing feedback where necessary

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
  • Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
