About the role
As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant. You will be working very closely alongside a child in primary, with an EHCP and a primary diagnosis of Autism. The hours for this role are 8:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday, term time only. The right candidate needs to be extremely reliable, as your role will to be a professional, strong relationship with the child, therefore any absence can really hinder the progress.
You will be attending each class with the child, supporting them with their learning and development, working closely alongside the class teacher.

The school has recently expanded, opening brand new sensory rooms and therapy rooms. They have plans to expand further in the next few years. Requirements
- Be able to commit to a long-term booking in Bristol, Monday to Friday, term time only
- Have an understanding and a passion to support children with ADHD and Autism
- Be able to work pro-actively both as an individual and as a team
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to process a new one - £45)
- To have a genuine desire to want to work within education and help make a difference to children's lives
- A minimum of 5 days referable experience within the last 5 years
- An understanding, or a desire to understand Autism and ADHD
