About the Role:
Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school setting. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil with special educational needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.

This is a full-time position starting in September, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s educational journey from the beginning of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, adapting learning activities to meet their individual needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support strategies
  • Support the pupil’s emotional regulation, engagement, and social development
  • Encourage independence while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and parents where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs)
  • A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
