About the role

Level 3 Room Leader – Nursery (Full Time)
Location: Chelmsford
Start Date: ASAP

Vision for Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established nursery in Chelmsford who are looking to appoint a dedicated Level 3 Room Leader to join their early years team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development while leading a small team within a nurturing and stimulating environment.

The Role

As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of your nursery room, ensuring high-quality care and education for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will lead and support other practitioners, plan engaging activities, and ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support staff within the room to deliver outstanding early years practice

  • Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework

  • Monitor and support children’s development through observations and assessments

  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment

  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are always met

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience working within a nursery setting

  • Experience leading or supporting a team is desirable

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A genuine passion for working with young children
