Position: HLTA (Full-Time)

Are you an experienced and confident teaching assistant ready to take the next step in your career? A supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Thurrock is seeking a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to play a key role in delivering high-quality learning across the school.

About the Role:

As a HLTA, you will work closely with teachers and school leaders to support teaching and learning. You will be confident delivering pre-planned lessons across year groups, leading interventions, and supporting pupil progress both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver whole-class and small-group lessons in the absence of the class teacher

• Support planning, preparation, and assessment in collaboration with teaching staff

• Lead targeted intervention sessions in core subjects

• Provide in-class support to pupils, including those with additional needs

• Contribute to creating a positive, engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• HLTA status or equivalent Level 4 qualification (essential)

• Experience delivering lessons and working across key stages

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• A proactive, flexible, and professional approach

• A commitment to supporting all pupils to achieve their best
