Leading education recruitment agency Vision for Education is looking to recruit a number of Permanent Recruitment Managers nationally. These roles will build on our already successful Permanent Recruitment Service, which recruits senior leaders, teaching and support staff for primary, secondary and SEND schools, multi-academy trusts (MATs) and local authorities. 

This is an excellent opportunity for driven, passionate and high performing individuals with the ability and motivation to expand our Permanent Recruitment Service across the UK.  

The successful applicants will continue to provide existing clients with a first-class Permanent Recruitment Service which exceeds expectations, whilst working with our branch staff, Marketing team and senior leaders to develop and grow this area of the business further with both new and existing clients.

The successful candidates 


  • Have an excellent understanding of the education sector and permanent recruitment market. 
  • Possess a strategic aptitude with the initiative, drive and commitment to develop existing business relationships and seek new opportunities. 
  • Have the ability to work closely with Vision for Education’s staff and other key stakeholders to strengthen and grow our permanent recruitment business.  

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at a high level internally and externally within organisations. 

  • Have the ability to create and maintain relationships over the telephone and face-to-face. 

  • Possess a professional and ethical approach to business. 

  • Have the ability to prioritise and organise your own workload in order to meet deadlines. 

  • Hold a UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle for work. 

Previous experience of working in education recruitment or permanent recruitment would be advantageous though this is not essential.

Job role: Recruitment Resourcer 
Location: Cambridge  
Salary: £18k - £22k + uncapped bonus 
Contract: Full-time, permanent contract 

Vision for Education is currently looking to appoint an exceptional Recruitment Resourcer to join our Cambridge team. This is a full-time, permanent position starting as soon as possible at our office in Histon.

We're a leading education recruitment agency, who provide temporary and permanent teaching and support staff for primary, secondary and SEND schools across the country. Our Cambridge office works with schools across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

As part of Tes Global, one of the largest educational organisations in the world, we strive to provide the best possible recruitment solutions to our client schools and deliver the best possible service to our candidate teachers, teaching assistants and support staff. 

Duties and responsibilities include: 

  • Writing creative job adverts to help attract new candidates. 

  • Posting job adverts and proactively searching for candidates on targeted job boards and social media. 

  • Assessing CVs for key candidate skills and abilities. 

  • Processing applications, booking-in and conducting candidate interviews. 

  • Completing registration paperwork for successful candidates as well as using our Salesforce system to record and manage your work. 

  • Assisting with the clearance process, to ensure all candidates are cleared in line with DfE guidelines and all children are safeguarded. 

  • Ensuring all payroll and other queries are effectively dealt with. 

  • Supporting other members of the team with identifying candidate availability, filling and confirming school bookings and making sure all timesheets are received on time. 

  • Ensuring the ethos of Vision for Education is maintained and promoted to candidates and schools. 

The successful candidate

Must have:

  • Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills. 

  • Proficient in using IT equipment and software. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Be able to forge and maintain relationships over the telephone and face to face. 

  • Ability to organise and manage a busy workload efficiently and effectively. 

  • The ability to act on their own initiative. 

Experience in the same or similar role would be preferential but not essential. 

Working pattern: 

  • During term time: 8am – 5pm

  • During school summer holidays: 9am – 3pm

  • During all other school holidays: 9am – 4pm

Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Recruitment Consultant to join our team in Cambridge, where you will be working with SEND schools in and around Cambridge and Peterborough.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recruitment consultant to join the market leaders in education recruitment, recruiting and supplying high-quality teaching and support staff for short and long-term placements and permanent roles.

Duties and responsibilities

You will provide a vital link between clients and candidates. The role is demanding and diverse and involves:

  • Working with a large client base - many of our schools work exclusively with Vision for Education.
  • Using sales, business development and marketing techniques and networking opportunities to attract and retain business from client schools.
  • Visiting clients to build and develop close working relationships.
  • Developing a good understanding of client schools; what they do and their culture and environment.
  • Advertising vacancies by placing adverts on a variety of job boards and (unique in the marketplace).
  • Using social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships with candidates, employers and the teaching community.
  • Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work.
  • Using candidate databases to match the right person to the client's vacancy.
  • Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and creating a shortlist of candidates for the client.
  • Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the client.
  • Briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job.
  • Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants.
  • Organising interviews and trial days for candidates as requested by the client.
  • Informing candidates about the results of their interviews.
  • Using our Salesforce system to manage short and long-term bookings.
  • Co-ordinating sponsorship and engagement activities for client schools.

The successful candidate

Will have/be:

  • Excellent communication, presentation and sales skills.
  • Ability to grow a SEND desk from the start.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in using IT equipment and software.
  • Ability to organise your own workload, meet deadlines and use your initiative.
  • Self-motivated and resilient.

  • During term time: 7am – 4pm or 9am – 6pm
