Vision for Education is hosting an open day later this month, to recruit teaching and support staff for day-to-day supply work, and short and long-term placements at schools in and around Chesterfield.

The free event is taking place on Thursday 26 October 2017 from 10am to 3pm at the Hotel Ibis, Lordsmill Street, Chesterfield S41 7RW.

Experienced and newly qualified teachers, teaching assistants, covers supervisors and other school support staff can drop-in to find out more about Vision for Education and the temporary opportunities available in local primary, secondary and special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) schools.

We are also interested in talking to people with experience of working with or supervising young people, who are looking to get into teaching but don’t have a formal teaching qualification.

Visitors will be able to apply to register with us on the day. They will need to bring two proof of address documents dated within the last three months, a valid passport or full UK birth certificate, proof of qualifications and their DBS certificate for the update service or be willing to pay for a new one.

Laura Wilkinson, Branch Manager at Vision for Education’s Sheffield branch, said: “We have an increasing number of opportunities available in the Chesterfield area for teaching and support staff with any levels of experience.

“Supply work is the perfect way for people to balance their professional and home life, as it gives them the flexibility to choose when they want to work.

“It also provides them with the chance to experience a variety of schools, which is a great way for teaching staff to start or revitalise their career.”

Vision for Education specialise in recruiting staff for schools and have been operating since 2008. They have 13 branches across the UK and are part of Tes - the global digital education company committed to supporting teaching and learning.

We offer great rates of pay and free training courses and social events, to help staff keep their skills up-to-date and build their professional contacts.
