Full Job Description: Vision for Education are urgently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work with young people who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), within a specialist provision in Newcastle upon Tyne.
 

You will be working on a full-time basis with a variety of age groups and abilities of pupil. As the school caters for Key Stage 1 to 4 and a variety of SEN including learning difficulties, autism and emotional difficulties – an empathetic and flexible approach is paramount.
 

The successful applicant will have experience of working with this nature of pupil and assisting them throughout the school day. This may include physical assistance, feeding and personal care as well as general classroom support.

Ideally you will have a valid Teaching Assistant/Nursery Nurse qualification, however the school is prepared to accept applications from candidates who have the appropriate classroom experience.
 

In return for your hard-work you will be paid £60.00 per day, payable on a weekly basis. You are also welcome to attend our monthly drinks events for supply staff and book your place on Vision for Education’s 100% free CPD courses such as Team Teach, Autism Awareness and School Refusal.
