Vision for Education recently sponsored South Wolds Community School giving them a cheque for £450 to provide them with an additional raised bed and various fruit trees and bushes for their allotment. The area is used to develop the students’ social skills as well as incorporating Maths, Literacy, Science, Physical Education, Geography, Language (Latin), Technology and Art.

The children are able to access these curricular areas and actually state that it is much more fun doing this in a practical, safe and fun way, says Marie Norman who runs the allotment project.
