Job Description: Vision for Education are currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of High Schools in Greater Manchester. You will be required to cover for staff sickness and deliver pre set work whilst ensuring continuation of education for all pupils.

Full Job Description: Vision for Education are currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of High Schools in Greater Manchester. You will be required to cover for staff sickness and deliver pre set work whilst ensuring continuation of education for all pupils. Specific responsibilities can include: • Supervising the students on work left in accordance with the school policy • Assisting in preparing the learning environment and the materials used therein • Assisting with the management of student behaviour to ensure a constructive working environment • Responding to students about the work that has been set • Recording and reporting attendance at lessons in accordance with school policy • Reporting back as appropriate using handover sheets on the behaviour of pupils during the class and any other issue arising. • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the schools’ policies and procedures. • Respecting confidential issues linked to home/students/teacher/school work and to keep confidences as appropriate You will be considerate, patient and must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability. A passion for working with children along with great classroom management skills is also a necessity. It is vital that you hold a either a degree in a curriculum subject and have at least 6 weeks recent classroom experience or have a wealth of experience in a classroom environment within the UK.
