Full Job Description: Required for a supportive school near Luton, a Design Technology Teacher is required for daily supply work. The school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher to deliver high quality lessons across the age and ability range. The successful candidate will assess pupil's learning, differentiating where needed and create and maintain a positive learning environment within the classroom. It is vital that you hold a valid, recognised, teaching qualification and have had at least 6 weeks recent experience of teaching in the UK. You must also be eligible to work in the UK as a permanent worker. We must be able to obtain references from schools where you have previously taught.

  • The General Teaching Council for England’s Executive Committee met on Wednesday 9 June in emergency session to consider the implications of the Secretary of State’s proposal to seek the abolition of teaching’s independent professional body. Members of the Committee expressed their shock at the decision and their thanks to GTC staff who are continuing to operate services to a high standard of professionalism in a period of great uncertainty. All of the GTC’s statutory duties remain in force pending the passage of legislation.
